Who we are

Argentario Obidiving is a Diving and Diver Training Center located in the heart of Porto Santo Stefano , an ideal starting point for exploring the seabed that makes the Costa d'Argento one of the most popular places in Italy. Located in Via del Molo 56, our rooms can accommodate up to 20 people and include a changing room with hot showers, equipment rental department, office and a large square in front of boarding. With a dinghy over 8 meters and a 240 hp engine, we are ready for trips to the coast and islands, carrying up to 14 divers.

  • Can I go scuba diving without a license?
    No, it is strongly discouraged to dive without a recognized diving license. Scuba diving involves risks and requires specific skills to ensure the safety of the diver.
  • Before starting an SSI course, is it possible to take an introductory test?
    Yes, before committing to a full SSI course, it is possible to undertake an introductory experience called "Baptism of the Sea". This service, which is paid, offers an opportunity to try scuba diving and familiarize yourself with the basic procedures, thus providing a preliminary insight into the diving experience before deciding to sign up for a full course.
  • What are the requirements to participate in an SSI diving course?
    To participate in an SSI diving course, you must be at least 10 years of age and good physical and mental health is also required.
  • Is it possible to participate in courses and scuba diving outside the summer season?
    Yes, we offer courses and scuba diving all year round, it is always recommended to book in advance to guarantee the availability of the services.
  • You are open all year, but I came and you were closed, why?
    Yes, we are open all year round, but we may be temporarily unavailable if we are at sea carrying out diving activities. If you find us closed when you arrive, it could be because we are busy with diving or courses. We invite you to call us or leave us a message and we will be happy to organize a dive together once you return. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we seek to provide safe and rewarding diving experiences.
  • Is it possible to accompany a person who wants to dive from a dinghy?
    Yes, it is possible to accompany a person who wishes to dive from the dinghy, but it is necessary to obtain prior authorization from the diving instructor responsible for the excursion.
  • What is the minimum age to snorkel?
    Snorkelling is an activity suitable for people of all ages, but it is preferable that children are able to swim independently and have some confidence in the water. Children will always be supervised and will be able to use appropriate personal flotation devices, such as armrests or life jackets.
